Young Health Programme Impact Fellowship 2023

The aim of the fellowship is to empower young leaders to tackle the burden of non-communicable diseases in their communities. 

One Young World in collaboration with AstraZeneca has launched a fellowship called ‘Young Health Programme Impact Fellowship 2023’. The aim of the fellowship is to empower young leaders to tackle the burden of non-communicable diseases in their communities.  

What’s in it for you?

1. Access to Networks: Participation in the 2023 One Young World Summit and Ambassador Network, and access to an Alumni group of other young changemakers who are all passionate about NCD prevention 
2. Access to Development: Structured learning and development offerings to enable you to scale your impact, including both self-directed and live learning. This includes access to the One Young World Academy, an award-winning MBA programme with university accreditation, and professional training.
3. Access to Funding: All Fellows will manage a community project that aims to improve youth health and prevent NCDs in their community. To enable this, AstraZeneca’s YHP will be awarding US $10,000 grants to each of the non-profit organizations led by the Fellows 
4. Full delegate access to the One Young World Summit 2023 in Belfast, United Kingdom, from 2 – 5 October 2023. 
5. Access to the AstraZeneca Young Health Programme Scholarship’s pre-programme on 2 October.
6. Invitation to join the YHP Alumni Group and network with other young health leaders from around the world, after attending the OYW Summit

Eligibility Criteria

Here are the eligibility criteria for ‘Young Health Programme Impact Fellowship 2023’.

1. Aged 18 – 30.
2. Nationals of all non-sanctioned countries are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
3. Applicants must demonstrate a positive impact related to tackling non-communicable diseases among youth. 
4. Access to the internet and a device (computer, phone) that will allow them to participate in live, online Fellowship sessions
5. Applicants must be founders or leaders of registered non-profit organisations
6. Applicants must be able to propose a 6-12 month project that empowers young people (aged 12-24) to manage their health in order to prevent non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in their community.
